Ever since I was young, I’ve always loved creating things. Whether it be music, art, homemade movies, or just building with lego, I learned to create using different mediums and materials. I focused my educational studies on music and the arts, dedicating my entire class schedule to Art, Orchestra, Drumline, Choir, Band, Jazz Band, Symphony, and Drama. My extracurriculars were also the performing arts: acting as our high school’s mascot, acting in school plays and musicals, and drumming with the Portland Trailblazers’ Drumline, ‘The Groove Machine.’ Wanting to continue my passion for telling stories, I attended the University of Oregon to study music, and to become the school’s mascot, The Duck.

By day, I sang opera and by night, I was DJing the local bar and dance scene. Somehow, between all my classes and DJing, I performed as The Oregon Duck across all women’s and mens sports, school events, corporate appearances, television commercials, social media, live television spots, and philanthropic visits, all while creatively finding new ways to increase The Duck’s national and international brand recognition.

Facebook and Twitter were launched when I first started college and by 2010, Instagram solidified to me that social media was going to become a new form of marketing that all companies were to eventually adopt. Working hand-in-hand with the Oregon Athletic Department developing a strong social media presence, focusing on creating strong and quality organic content, I knew a career in social media would allow me to continue to be creative and tell stories.

Post graduation, I moved to San Francisco to start my creative career. Starting as social media specialist  for the San Francisco Giants and a social media consultant for the San Francisco 49ers, I also worked as a member of the “Hoop Troop” for the Golden State Warriors and became Raider Rusher, the first ever mascot for the Oakland Raiders.

My acting and mascot work led me to consult on Christopher Guest’s mockumentary, “Mascots” on Netflix. I oversaw every mascot scene in the film and performed onscreen as six different characters.

For the 5 years, I created social content for Bleacher Report, helping grow their Instagram account from 2 million to over 16.4 Million followers during my time. I produced music, directed produced, and innovated ways to tell stories.

In September 2020, I launched Mikey Navarro Productions LLC, a company dedicated to creating premium marketing materials and media of all varieties.: Music Production, Creative Direction, Social Media Direction, Music Composition, Graphic Design, Podcast Production, Sound Design, Video Edits, Pitch Decks, Commercial Scripts, Storyboards, Music Consultation, and Mascot Performance.

Since then, I’ve co-wrote and published my first children’s book “A Duck from Oregon Tries to Fly,” worked alongside 4x NBA Champion Stephen Curry with Unanimous Media, and performed with the Foo Fighters, Gwen Stefani, Chainsmokers,

Work featured in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Forbes, TIME, Netflix, ESPN, USA TODAY, SB NATION, Bleacher Report,
